Public Service Announcement!
Can I insert the crying, smiling emoji here please? Haha, I wanted to share a quick nugget of information for all the foodies in Toronto or perhaps for any readers who are planning a jaunt over here for a lil’ visit! If you follow my on Instagram (IG Stories more specifically), then you know that awhile back I went to a DELICIOUS tasting dinner at Bosk at the Shangri-la Toronto. It was Uh-MA-ZING! The dinner I was at was the first of three in a tasting series. Guess what my lovelies, it is not just for bloggers! No way 🙂 You can actually get tickets to the event if your tastebuds are screaming for something unique, and uber posh might I add 🙂
So the concept is this.
The event itself it called Taste of the 6ix. Of course this is complete with hashtags and links galore (#tasteofthesix and @shangrilato!) Bosk hosts a featured chef to work with the resident culinary gurus at the Shangri-La to create a unique tasting menu; and guess what? All proceeds go to Sustain Ontario!
Feb 23 – Matt Blondin from Omaw
June 15 – Frankie Solarik from BarChef
Oct 19 – Jed Smith from Momofuku
If the first dinner of the series sets the bar, it was set high! We opened with scallops and some glorious ravioli with shaved truffle! From there moved into BBQ beef. Of course this was complimented by other amazing bites in between and we had some fun taro milk inspired desserts!
Total course count of nine!
I know I don’t normally post on a Monday, but I had to share this for all the Toronto foodies who are looking for something fun in June and October! If you’re interested, just ring the Shangrli-La Toronto and ask about the Taste of the Six series 🙂
